Cozette grew up in Westchester, attended USC receiving her bachelor’s degree in dance, and continued on with her master’s course work, while obtaining a teaching credential for secondary education. She spent a decade performing in musical theatre. After 25 years in the field of dance, and motivated by the issues of domestic violence and sex abuse crimes, Cozette chose to attend law school. She currently is of counsel to Vergari & Napolitano. She has been a member of the Rotary Club of Westchester since 1995, has served as Rotary International District Governor for the Los Angeles region, as Honorary Mayor of Westchester, and on the boards of the WPNC, LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce, AMCS, Westchester Rotary Foundation, and Rotary District 5280 Charitable Foundation. Cozette resides happily in Westchester with husband Richard Moon. Together they share four children and five grandchildren. |

Jun. 12, 2021 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
In continuing to honor Rotary’s new official commitment to the environment, Playa Venice Rotarians have been invited by our friends at the Rotary Club of Santa Monica to join them, along with Venice Community Clean Ups, for a Venice Beach Neighborhood Cleanup. Volunteers will be meeting in front of IT’SUGAR (2017 Ocean Front Walk), with the clean up going from 9:00am to 11:00am. This will be a great opportunity to not only serve the community on a lovely Saturday morning outdoors, but to also meet and work with fellow Rotarians from our district. Please contact me at jjenrotary@gmail.com if you have any questions. Otherwise, we also need a chair from PVS to coordinate PVS volunteers, and being the liaison with Santa Monica Rotary. Please let me know if you are interested in chairing this project. |

Aug. 14, 2021 9:00 a.m. - Aug. 15, 2021 9:00 a.m.
PVS Rotarian Rob DeCou is at it again with the long endurance challenges for a good cause and to benefit the community. On Saturday August 14th Rob will be starting a 68 mile hike/run through the Santa Monica Mountain range. Let's get out there and support and encourage him! The 68-mile Backbone Trail follows the spine of the Santa Monica Mountains from Los Angeles to Point Mugu in Ventura County. Typically, a thru hike of the Backbone Trail is achieved in 7 to 9 days. Rob will attempt to complete the entire trail in 24 hours! (https://www.trailmagicadventures.com/about-the-backbone-trail) Proceeds from this event/fundraiser will go to benefit the 1736 Family Crisis Center which supports domestic violence survivors, runaway and homeless youths, and persons in crisis. Notwithstanding the above, we are gathering Rotarians and Friends to join Rob on Saturday August 14, at 9:00 a.m. at Will Rogers Park, to cheer him on, hike a part of the trail with him (as much as you deem fit), send him on his way, and just drop by for some fellowship. If you are interested in cheering Rob on at the starting line, hiking a few feet or miles with him, or have any questions, please feel free to contact me (Jerry Jen) at jjenrotary@gmail.com. Thank you. |
