Where are you from originally? If not from LA, how did you end up here?
I was born in Texas but my family moved to San Diego when I was around 2 years old!
Tell us about your occupation.
I’m an Estate Planning Attorney and help my clients set goals for how they would like to leave their affairs in order while making it as smooth as possible for their loved ones. This includes preparation revocable living trusts, wills, advance health care directives, powers of attorney, and other more advanced trusts if asset protection or estate tax planning is a goal.
Why did you join Rotary and what is your favorite Rotary experience?
My Dad was a Rotarian and I always thought that the trips he went on down to Mexico were pretty neat. He seemed like he had a good group of like-minded community friends, and I’ll always remember helping out at Octoberfest down in Carlsbad. After hanging a shingle for myself, I found that my social life was on the decline, and Rotary seemed like a great option to get back involved in the community and meet some great people. Best Rotary experience so far was the Venice Fire Pancake cookoff!
What does your perfect weekend look like?
Early Friday Happy Hour, in bed earlier than later, wake up early enough to hit the beach and avoid the traffic, a nice Sunday hike followed by a backyard BBQ with friends and family to wrap it up!
