COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS
With belief that all youth are destined for continued success, the club is committed in providing financial assistance for students entering higher education institutions. Each spring, the
 club is thrilled to award $1,000 scholarships to 10 deserving high school graduates going to college. The foundation receives approximately 50 applications a year and the program has donated over $50,000 in total since inception.

TEACHER MINI-GRANTS
Teacher Mini-Grant is the largest and most successful programs of the club and celebrates its 20th year anniversary in 2017. In joint effort with the Chamber of Commerce, Playa Venice have been awarding grants to deserving educators to continue to fund their creative and innovative projects in the classrooms. In its 20th year, the club received
 142 applications from over 20 schools and the foundation awarded $19,375 along with $1,600 worth of school supplies. Since the inception, the foundation have donated over $200,000 to local teachers. learn more

TEACHER EDDY AWARDS
With the belief that our community’s teachers are among the biggest stars, Chamber of Commerce and Playa Venice hold annual Emmy Awards-like gala honoring “Outstanding Teachers of the Year” from local schools.

ARTS CONTEST
Highlighting the importance of artistic education, Playa Venice holds annual Arts Contest that consists of Music, Dance, Art and Speech for local high school students. The top two from each category are awarded financially and the foundation supports the winners as they move on to the district level for additional scholarship opportunities.

VISION TO LEARN
Playa Venice partakes in this organization’s efforts to provide children with free eye exams and glasses by bringing mobile eye clinics to schools and community sites.

CAREER DAY
Gathering students from local high schools, Playa Venice shines light on various career options to spark students’ interests.
