Exciting Meeting Coming Up ~
Join us for the Fun!
Last Weeks Meeting Recap
Last week we heard from Ben Nguyen from Westside Pacific Villages who shared the amazing work this group of volunteers are doing to support our senior communities. Their programs are so inspiring and often a critical missing piece in the “age at home” and “assisted living” models for senior care, health and wellbeing. We will be looking for ways to help our beloved seniors in the very near future!
We were also thrilled to induct our first new member of the new year - welcome Dean Reuter!
Also thank you Assistant Governor Nancy Weisel for visiting our club and sharing the Redondo Beach Rotary’s 100 days of kindness campaign in commemoration of the club’s 100th Anniversary.
Saturday Morning, our club’s Board of Directors and Board of Trustees met at Tony P’s for a President’s Forum featuring a special guest appearance by our newly minted District Governor, Albert Hernandez.
Thank you for sharing your vision for District 5280 and your heartfelt words of encouragement. We learned a little, shared a little and ate a lot…thank you again to our “Hosts”, Foundation President Gail and Membership Chair Rob and a special shout out to Tony P!! It was a great day!
Then on Sunday afternoon, we had FUN AT FATBURGER! Thank you to member Jason Wong for generously sharing his beautiful restaurant with us. Thank you to all that came out to have fun and great food…thank you Gail for your warm hugs, great games and wonderful fellowship!
What a week!!!

This Week's Guest Speaker:
DIANE BARRETTI,
President Pacific Area Boosters
Join us for the last day of July as we welcome our dear friend, Diane Barretti, President of the Pacific Area Boosters. The Pacific Area Boosters are an organization of business professionals and community members who support the Pacific Area Police Station, Police Officers and Cadet Programs.
Established in 1973, the Pacific Area Boosters have helped shape the lives of many young persons through the LAPD Pacific Area Cadet and Junior Cadet Programs. We are so proud to support this program as well as the Pacific Area Police Officers, Police Station, and all the Law Enforcement Volunteers that help protect and serve our community. Thank you to our men and women in blue - we look forward to our ongoing partnership.
Please sign up to volunteer for the 41st Annual National Night Out. This year’s celebration is happening on Tuesday, August 6th from 4-8pm, at Bill Rosendahl Del Rey Park at Alla Road and Glencoe Avenue. Come out and meet members of the LAPD Pacific Area, share a little about our Rotary Club and serve a little pasta from Cantalini’s Salerno Beach Restaurant. It is a wonderful way to build police-community relationships.
