We measure time not by hours, but by moments
that engage the spirit. These are the experiences
worth capturing—the ones that stay with us long
after the clock moves on.

A Little Love Goes a Long Way:
Senior Valentine Project
They say many hands make the work easier—and
with many hands at our breakfast meeting, eighty
Valentine gift bags were joyfully assembled with
candy, small stuffed bears, and Valentine cards.
The bags were delivered to the Westchester Senior
Center for distribution to seniors attending their
Valentine celebration.
Thank you to everyone who helped package the
gift bags, and special thanks to Lisa for her thoughtfulness and leadership in making this
heartfelt project happen.
All gift bags were delivered and received by Kirstin Aceves, Director Westchester Senior
Center. This heartfelt gesture supported the
spirit of Valentine’s Day by bringing joy,
warmth, and connection to seniors
at the center.
Warren Bobrow shared valuable information
with the club about District 5280’s involvement
in hosting exchange students, highlighting the
opportunity for club members to consider the
meaningful, long-lasting friendships that are
often formed between students and host
families alike.
In August, an inbound foreign exchange student
will arrive in Los Angeles. The student, who will
be attending Venice High School, will need one or
two host families for a commitment stay of
about 3 months.
If you have an interest in hosting and would
like more information, please contact Warren
by emailing him at wsbobrow@gmail.com OR
by contacting him through the Westchester
Rotary Club. Additional information on the
Districts youth exchange can be found by

Assistant Governor Nancy Weiselspoke about
the adventures, joy, and lasting impact
of humanitarian service projects on both
participants and the communities served.
She shared how her trips to Barbados and
Maui were life-changing, and invited
members to get involved through travel
and financial support.
Members were left with a powerful vision of
what’s possible—bringing clean water to
villages, building homes in fire-impacted
areas, and providing educational facilities
around the world, to name a few—all in
creating lasting change.
Playa Venice Sunrise Rotary was pleased to
donate $1,000 to District 5280 Humanitarian
Trip earmarked for the Costa Rican project.
