THE PERFECT BLEND OF FUN, FRIENDSHIP, AND SERVICE!
Welcome to the PVSR Weekly Newsletter
2026 - 2027 Vol. 17
REMEMBER -
NO MEETING THIS WEDNESDAY!!!
We’re friends, and I can be honest, right? I hit the wall this week - even though it was “Fun & Fabulous”, I felt completely uninspired and was doubting my ability to inspire through my presidency. In contemplation, I realized that you need to have the “down periods” to fully appreciate the “up periods”. So, I have focused this week on LEARNING (AKA word of the week) - we all can use some personal growth! We don't always know everything (maybe we think we do), but our Rotary Club provides fertile ground to be exposed to people and experiences and to learn new things and thus become inspired! A perfect example was our fabulous speaker, Capt. Carlos Garcia from Fire Station 80, located on LAX property, to serve only “those who have wings”. I found myself enraptured by his presentation about the expectations and abilities of our firefighters when they attack an aircraft in trouble. I don't think I will ever look at “3 minutes” the same way! So, just when you think you are “on empty”, we are able to LEARN new things and find inspiration where it is least expected. Stay open to what PVS Rotary has in store to teach and inspire you!
Thank you to Birthday Fairy Bobbie for cheerleading our October birthday celebration as we learned more about the astrological traits of our fellow Rotarians!
Rotary makes me happy!!

STARS BEING DISCOVERED?
They said they were attending a movie premiere at Warner Bros. and a delicious dinner at the Smoke House, but by looking at these beauties, I can only wonder if they were doing auditions for an upcoming starring role? So great to seeRacquel and Brook out on the town and enjoying the famousSmoke House garlic bread! After 80 years, that restaurant still is a popular Burbank location!
