Few years ago, Artificial Intelligence (AI) was, for many, something we watch in science fiction movies! Today, even if we do not notice it, it is part of our daily life, in our smartphones, the media, the politics etc! Our speaker is no other than our own ELSA HARRIS!

In her presentation, she will discuss: What is Artificial Intelligence? A few examples of how AI is currently being used and affecting us in our daily lives, some open-source AI's and how we can utilize them, Future trends, Ethical and legal concerns with AI.
Please Come to get informed and bring your questions to her!
Here's a snapshot of her professional career:
Elsa is an Associate Professor of Mathematics and Science at Otis College. She holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the Polytechnic University of Tirana in Albania and an M.S in Statistical Science from Claremont Graduate University (CGU), California. Elsa is currently working on her PhD studies in Computational Mathematics and Engineering at CGU. Her research is focused on designing pervasive AI-enabled intelligent systems for human movement analysis with applications in security, entertainment, health, and wellness. Her innovative design aims to make these systems sustainable by harvesting the kinetic energy of the human body and the surrounding environment and thus eliminating or minimizing the need for portable batteries.
