Last Weeks Meeting Highlights
It was our pleasure to welcome back Dr.s Ashkon Ansari and Erik Akopian, co-founders of Atlas Global Health, who’s mission is to identify under-resourced hospitals and empower them through a cohesive global network that connects local healthcare leaders with international experts, aid donors, and educators, bridging gaps in healthcare and advancing the development of emergency medicine.
We got to hear more about the incredible benefits of portable ultra sound equipment and the critical success of their on-going training
of medical staff in Uganda.
We are excited to work with Dr. Ansari and Atlas Global Health and the Mulago National Referral Hospital as we partner with the
Rotary Club of Kampala Ssese Islands,
from district 9213, to secure a Global Grant.

ROTARIANS HARD at WORK
for PVSR! Thank you to our amazing team of Rotarians and friends who helped move our storage - Gail, Rob, Iris, Gwen, Memo, and Jason - Thank you so much!! This was a monumental task of organizing, pairing down and transporting our equipment to a much less expensive unit in a much more desirable location! No more pushing carts through hallways for us - we can now pull up to our individual garage door - so much better and will be a time (and back) saver!

CONGRATULATIONS
TO THE BOOK JEWEL!
Several of us attended the 4th Anniversary celebration of the Book Jewel at the Westchester Triangle. Congratulations to our friend and Honorary Member, Karen Dial, and her incredible staff.
The book exchange was super fun and there was a huge crowd of patrons from all over the community - this Bookstore is indeed a shining star in our neighborhood. Here’s to many more years of success!!

FUN AT FATBURGER!
We had another fabulous time and our monthly
“Fun at Fatburger” event! Thank you to everyone who came out for our dietary splurge - milkshakes, burgers, hotdogs, onion rings, chili fries - oh my!! Such a fun indulgence! Thank you to member Jason Wong for your warm hospitality. We got to present Jason’s wife, Angela, with a birthday gift - an adorable stuffed cheeseburger - happy birthday Angela! Great fun - great friends!

We are so excited to hear from new member, Dean Reuter, as he gives his craft talk. Dean is an Architect, and has served our District for years including his service as a Senior Assistant Governor. In addition, he is a three time Past President for the Torrance and Torrance Del Amo Rotary Clubs.
As an added bonus, Foundation President, Gail Goldstein, will be inducting Dean’s Wife, Susan Reuter as our newest member!
