Autumn always brings a sense of gathering —
of friends, of ideas, of purpose. As Rotarians,
we’re harvesting more than pumpkins this
season — we’re collecting smiles, generosity,
and the joy of serving side by side. Here’s to
cozy connections, meaningful moments, and
a little extra warmth in every act of service.

✨ EVENTS ✨
Last weekend was a full one for our club, with
several events filling the calendar and giving
Rotarians plenty of ways to get involved
and make a difference.
A Sweet Success at our 3rd
Second Saturday Stroll! 🍪☕️
Our third Stroll was a wonderful success, thanks
to the hard work and cheerful energy of Gail, Rob, Matthew, Lindsay, Linda, Jason, and Lucy.
We switched things up a bit on this last stroll
with a hot cocoa bar complete with cookies
and candy, replacing our traditional ice cream
sundaes — and it was a hit! We served 130 cups of cocoa before we ran out.
The Stroll’s Fall Festival theme brought out
the best of the season, with a playful touch of
Halloween, kids in costume, and plenty of line
dancing and laughter. It was a true celebration
of community spirit and connection.

Our Club was proud to take part in two
inspiring community events this month,
each celebrating service, stewardship,
and legacy.
Moonlight on the Marsh 🌕
At the Moonlight on the Marsh fundraiser
hosted by the Friends of Ballona Wetlands,
our members gathered to support vital
efforts in protecting local wildlife and
preserving native plants. The evening
at the Playa Vista CenterPointe Club was
filled with purpose and camaraderie as we
joined fellow advocates for conservation.
We were delighted to have a full table of
Rotarians and to serve as a sponsor for
this important cause.
Flight Path Gala ✈️
We also celebrated at the Flight Path Museum
Gala, honoring three decades of aviation history
and community impact. The evening’s highlight
was the recognition of Larry Plotkin, who
continues the remarkable legacy of his father, Morrey Plotkin, Founder of the Flight Path
Museum. It was truly a night that reminded
us how service and dedication can take flight
—both in the air and in our community.

Rotarians Around Town
With the opportunity to enjoy a fabulous
football game, a few of our Rotarians attended
the USC vs. Michigan matchup — and it didn’t disappoint! USC came out on top with a
31-13 victory. Fight on, Trojans! 🏈
