Fun & Service IS here!
Last week, we had a very full, Fun and Fabulous Fellowship Day complete with a wonderful hands-on service project, filling our Club Logo-Halloween Bags with lots of fun toys and candy for the children at the Mar Vista Family Center! I love seeing our Club members joining together in service – thank you all who helped assemble these cute “treats” to get these little
Trick-Or-Treater’s Halloween festivities started!

While we are grateful to all of the members of our Cultural Dinner Committee and everyone in the Club who helped support this important event, I handed out a couple of President’s Star awards to Rob Bird, my choice for the MVP of the Cultural Dinner for his incredible contributions to the silent auction and so much more.
I also recognized Member John Buckley for the “spirit” he consistently brings to our events.
I mean, the guy grew a special “Irish” beard for our last Bingofest and donned some pretty cool lederhosen at our Oktoberfest!
Thank you, John, for your service and enthusiasm!
Thank you, Gwen, for Chairing the Annual Cultural Dinner for the 17th time!
Thank you for your leadership, amazing attention to details, and for being the behind the scenes “Glue” that holds all the many moving parts of this Club together!
This year’s Cultural Dinner Committee did an ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING JOB!
We thank the entire team: Rob Bird, Becky Reilly-Francis, Gail Goldstein, Martha Jeffers, Bobbie Casalino-Lewis, Keely Scarlata Majka,
Iris Monrreal, Jan Osgood, Lisa Schwab, Lindsay Thomas-Milley, Gwen Vuchsas.
Our Oktoberfest was a tremendous success
* DISTRICT EVENT *
FOUNDATION ROTARY BOWL
We had a wonderful time at the Rotary Bowl at SoFi Stadium.
DG Albert reimagined the Foundation Celebration Dinner in a really fun and creative way! We celebrated in true Tail-Gate Style, enjoying burgers and hotdogs, trading baseball cards for raffle gifts and of course sporting all manner of Dodger-wear!
Such a huge bonus to be celebrating our Boys in Blue winning the World Series!
The band kept everyone moving, ending their set with “We are the Champions” – how fitting!!
