☘️ With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner,
we’re reminded that a little luck and a lot of
friendship go a long way. Like the Irish spirit
we celebrate this season, our club thrives on
fellowship, generosity, and service to others.
Here’s to good cheer, strong community, and
making our own luck through Rotary. ☘️

Heart of Service - Gail Goldstein
We were thrilled to present Gail with the
District’s Heart of Service Award. She leads
with both generosity and dedication— giving
her time, talent, and financial support to
strengthen our club’s impact. As the heart
behind the creation of the Scholarship Program
and many other initiatives within the club,
her commitment to service continues to
inspire us all. ☀️

PELS Update
Additionally, Gail shared her insights and
takeaways from the two-day PELS seminar
as she prepares for her presidency in
2026–2027. She came back energized and
excited about the initiatives taking shape
across the district and through Rotary
International. Her enthusiasm was contagious
as she encouraged all of us to get involved.
She also reminded us what an honor it is for
our club to serve as the home club for the
incoming District Governor and the special
role we play in supporting the district.

Craft Talk - Courtney O'Donoghue
Our club had the opportunity to hear from one
of our newer members share their life journey
and their road to Rotary. Courtney is no stranger
to the Rotarian way. Growing up, she was involved
through her parents’ commitment to Rotary
through Playa Venice Sunrise Rotary club. In high school, she even started an Interact Club and
later traveled to Japan and Germany as a
Rotary summer exchange student.
Her Rotary roots are well planted, and today
she is giving her three children a wonderful perspective on service through her involvement
with the PVSR club. We are honored to have
her as a member and to benefit from the
leadership she demonstrated throughout
her high school and college years.
She graduated from Saint Mary’s College of
California and spent 22 years working with the Marriott International hotel chain. Her extensive
hospitality experience now serves her well as
she begins a new chapter in real estate with
the Stephanie Younger Group.

Approximately 1,100 runners, along with
parents, teachers, volunteers, and supporters,
gathered at Loyola Marymount University last
Saturday morning for a spirited community
event. Playa Venice Sunrise Rotary was pleased
to have been a sponsor in partnership with the LAX Coastal Education Foundation. Schools
from across the area were represented,
with all net benefits going to the
participating schools.
Members of the Playa Venice Sunrise Rotary
club were out in full force, serving more than
a thousand pancake breakfasts to runners and
their families, helping fuel a fun and successful
morning for all involved.
