When I’m asked, “What is my purpose in life?”
my response is simple: “Your purpose is
whatever you are doing in this very moment,
or wherever you are offering yourself
in service.”
Purpose isn’t something far off or hidden —
it lives in the present. Too often, we overlook
our own talents, forgetting that these very
gifts, whether small or grand, are how we serve
the world. When each of us brings forward our
unique abilities, together we use our talents
as a means to building community.

🌟 Spotlight On Rising Talent
Kaleo Night captivated us with her extraordinary
voice — the very same talent that carried her
through her audition on American Idol. A resident
of Westchester and currently a senior at Windward
School, she is already charting her next chapter,
with her sights set on pursuing acting and voice
at NYU, while USC and UCLA remain
strong contenders.
Her gifts extend well beyond singing. She grew
up immersed in hula and the beauty of traditional Hawaiian mele, grounding her artistry in deep
cultural roots.
Kaleo not only performs but also creates,
writing much of her own music. To date, she
has recorded three original songs, which can be
found on Spotify and Apple Music - Running Cold,
Piano, and Talented.
Meeting her and her mom, Lauren Kawasaki
Knight, was a delight. Kaleo’s passion for music
and her stories from American Idol revealed not
only her talent but also her determination,
creativity, and joy in sharing her gifts. Without
a doubt, this young woman is one to watch as
her journey unfolds. We can’t wait to see
where her dreams take her next! 🙌✨
