Last Week's Meeting Highlights
Cedars-Sinai Marina Del Rey Hospital
in the House!
We had a wonderful meeting last week, featuring Lauren Elkins and the Construction team from Cedars-Sinai, who shared with us the progress of the exciting, reimagined and state of the art facility. We got to hear many interesting details about the available services coming to our local Marina Del Rey Hospital. It was really informative and interesting – this project will be such a boon for our community!
Thank you, Lauren, and your team, it was wonderful to have you join us!!

* ROTARIANS MAKING A DIFFERENCE *
Thank you to the Rotarians who helped assemble 100 “CARE KITS” to help our un-housed neighbors and those in need – the kits included many needed Toiletries and first aid items in support of the Temple Emanuel Mitzvah Corps Campaign.
Thank you, Membership Director, Rob Bird, for making the “Drop” which also included our donations of “keep warm clothing.” Our generous donations where gratefully received, and I thank our Club for your contributions. We will still be collecting items for this Jacket Drive through the end of the month, so please consider donating a gently used jacket or sweatshirt, gloves/mittens, beanies, etc.
* ROTARIANS AT WORK *
We had an amazing day at our Pancake Breakfast fundraiser at Fire Station 5.
It was so much fun, and the kids had a blast.
We had two BOUNCE HOUSES, FACE PAINTERS, BALLOON ANIMALS AND SO MANY PANCAKES!!
This could not be a success without the help of the many Rotarians who came out to
support all the various activities...
Especially members Jason Wong and Justin Furtado, for picking up the grills and pop-ups from our storage and delivering them to the Station – Thank You All!!
We are so grateful for our partnership with the
LAX Marriott Hotel for providing and preparing the delicious food and beverages!
Carol’s Grills were hard at work and there were even chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream!
Oh my!!
We are also grateful to Charles Pannunzio and LAWA for their generous sponsorship.
We thank “our” DJ, Gina, and our superstar violinist, Kiev Morales for providing the vibes and Councilwoman Traci Park for coming out to support the event and help our club with a special presentation for the beloved men and women of
Fire Station 5!
And everyone wanted to Give Willow
Fire Station #5's Mascot lots of Love!
Thank you to Captain Cecci for your hospitality and thank you to Firefighter Andre Voelker, for the amazing hand carved American Flag, which we will most certainly treasure!
