*  PVSR REPRESENTS AT MOONLIGHT
ON THE MARSH *

A group of Rotarians and our guests attended the Moonlight on the Marsh event, supporting the Friends of Ballona Wetlands, who advocate, educate serve and protect our precious wetlands and natural resources including a desperately needed refuge for migrating birds and other wildlife.
We thank the Friends for their tireless mission to support restoration of this treasured resource.
There was an exciting announcement made that, after an incredible amount of arduous work, the freshwater marsh walking path will reopen to the public.

We congratulate all the awards recipients, especially our dear friends, Lucy Han and Jan Haagen, from the Friends of the Jungle, who along with an army of  volunteers, have dedicated immense resources to keeping our Playa Del Rey Community and local beaches clean. Through their partnership with the City and Pacific Division Police Officers they have made a huge impact on crime. And…it is always wonderful to hear from Councilwoman Traci Park who brought us up to speed on local efforts to reduce encampments. What a spectacular evening we had!
