The Genie wanted to get out of the lamp momentarily for one Last Sip of Gratitude…
I have been truly overwhelmed with Love this year, culminating with the demotion party. Thank you for an evening of fun, laughter and celebration of one more year of first class service and fellowship:

Thanks Gwen, Gail, Maria and Lisa for being the engine behind the whole program, Lisa for writing and directing the skit, Stephanie, the stage manager and all the actors and singers!
During the evening, we recognized two beautiful human beings:

Lucy Wegner as the “Rotarian of Year” for her lifetime contributions to our club in more than one way. Thank you Lucy and cheers to many more years of service!

Racquel Frawley, as the “Rotarian at Heart. '' Throughout the years, Racquel hosted club events at her home, participated in many meetings and activities, always serving others with humility, a smile and of course, a big Heart!

Last but not least, incoming President Hilton Brown and his new Board of Directors have been sworn in by District Governor Olivia Patterson-Ryans. Grateful also for the presence of Robert Ryans, incoming Governor Makiko Nakasone and Past District Governor Rick Mendoza who continues to accompany and mentor our club since its inception!
Dear Rotarians, we continue the Journey together with President Hilton, doing our part bringing Hope to those who need it, one person at a time, one community at a time & one planet at a time!
Now back to the Lamp!

A reminder that we will have no meeting this coming Wednesday June 28 and we will resume meeting the following Wednesday July 5 for President Hilton’s first meeting! Let’s ALL be there to start the year with him.
Hike with Vida

This morning, Vida, Bonnie, Hilton and Yvette went for a hike in Pacific Palisades! They ended up at Cafe Vida for a bite there!

One last Kumbaya moment 🙂
I leave you with the following quote from Greg Boyle, the founder of the Los Angeles “Home Boy Industries” It’s the largest gang rehabilitation program, intended to assist former gang members and the recently incarcerated.
“Love never fails. It will always find a way to have its way”
