October is the perfect time to pause and take inventory. With the year’s final stretch ahead,
it asks us: what do we want to finish strong,
and what can we gently set down? Like the trees
releasing their leaves, we too can let go of what
no longer serves us — clearing space for clarity,
gratitude, and fresh beginnings. In this season
of both harvest and release, may we choose
to carry forward only what truly matters.

Karin Wallerstein - CEO Venice Chamber of Commerce
Santa Monica Rotarian
Karin gave us an intimate look at the history
of Venice and the pivotal role the Chamber of Commerce plays in expanding the visibility of
this world-renowned city. Under Karin’s
leadership, the Chamber’s membership
has grown exponentially.
Her exceptional talent in guest management has
brought vital resources and boosted Venice’s
presence on the world stage. It was a pleasure
having Karin and her husband, Michael, share
their commitment to what Venice Chamber
is creating.

Fire Station #5 Pancake Breakfast
What a wonderful Sunday morning at
the 24th Annual Pancake Breakfast.
More than 450 neighbors came together
to enjoy some delicious pancakes prepared
by the LAX Marriott Hotel. Our guests enjoyed
music by DJ Addy O’Donoghue and a little
fill-in by Becky Reilly-Francis, bounce houses,
face painting, balloon animals by Candy
Clown, treats from the candy bar prepared
by the Marriott, and giveaways from Charles
and the LAWA booth and Courtney and the
Stephanie Younger booth. The firefighters
had the hose out for the kids to experience a
firefighting demonstration! 🚒 New member Linda Soto did her magic with balloons. It
was the largest crowd we’ve ever had at
Station #5. Thank you Marsha, Natalie, Gail, Rob, Stephanie, Dean, Susan, Jan, Bobbie, David, Evan, Jim, Gwen
and 4 Interactors!
The best part? The proceeds support
our very own Fire Station #5! 💙
