As we step out into our community, our family,
and friends, we see how joy naturally rises
through the simple act of showing up for one
another. In serving, supporting, and giving,
we receive a quiet joy that anchors us in what
truly matters and that reminds us why we’re
here: to uplift each other and experience
life more fully.

🎄Spreading Joy,
One Wreath at a Time
On December 3, we’ll come together to create wreaths for seniors who may be shut
in or without family during this time of year.
Partnering with Kristin Aceves, Westchester
Senior Center Director, who will deliver the
wreaths, we continue our tradition of
community care—offering joy through
giving, and receiving just as much in return.

Exciting New Members
We are very excited to have inducted and
welcomed Janet Landon, sponsored by Gwen Vuchsas, and Vickie Farmer, sponsored by
Martha Jeffers, to our PVS Rotary Club.
The induction was performed by our very own District Governor Elect, Brady Connell.
We are thrilled to have Janet and Vickie join us,
and we look forward to the energy, ideas,
and heart they will bring to our ongoing work
in the community and to our fellowship.

Lucia Diaz and 101 Gifts of Care
for Mar Vista Families
It was a joy and a pleasure to hear from Lucia
Diaz as she shared Mar Vista Family Center’s
commitment to serving underprivileged families
in the area. The impact of recent events has
been staggering, and the outpouring of care
and dedication has been truly remarkable.
Thanks to the brilliant idea of "Food For Friends"
from Kathrine and Gail, PVSR was thrilled to
present Lucia with $2,500 in 101 Northgate
Market gift cards to directly support MVFC
families in need.
PVSR’s commitment to service, through our
long-standing partnership with MVFC, continues
to make a meaningful difference in
the community.

The Spirit of Giving in Action
A truly welcomed opportunity to feature our
PVSR teams in action as they meet their families
and create bonding connections through the PVSR Adopt-a-Family program.
🎁 🎄 🎁 🎄🎁
Team 1 - The Frolicking Elves
Dave, Evan, Janet, Jim, and Gwen had the
pleasure of visiting a wonderful family whose
four little ones—ages 6, 5, 3, and 1—were
friendly, curious, and excited to meet the team.
The one-year-old even crawled into Gwen’s lap,
adding an extra dose of sweetness to the visit.
This single moment reminds us all why visits
like these bring joy to both the givers and
the receivers.

Team 2 - Rotary Reindeer
The visiting team—Iris, Matthew, Jan, Rich, Rob,
and Gail—had the opportunity of meeting a humble
and gracious family of six: mom, dad, their uncle,
and three children (14, 11, and 7). Their home
was filled with warmth, smiles, and a sense of
hope as the kids eagerly shared their
(quite long!) holiday wish lists.
It was a meaningful reminder of why this
tradition matters and how much joy a little
support can bring to a family during
the season.

Team 3 - Happy Helpers
Ramona, Debbie, and Bobbie joined this
heartfelt visit, where Team 3 members
were welcomed by a family who was
humble, kind, and wonderfully gracious.
They served fresh pineapple juice, a
warm gesture that set the tone
for the afternoon.
The 14-year-old proudly shared her
sketchbook, revealing remarkable talent,
and soon the 8-year-old followed with her
own drawings. Their creativity and
enthusiasm added a special brightness
to the time together.

Team 4 - Santa's Helpers Squad
It was an evening of sweet connection as
Team 4 met the Antonio family and the
grandparents who grace their home. Joining
the Team were Ray and Carmina, Marsha, Martha, and five enthusiastic students
from Venice High School Interact Club.
The Interactors’ energy and care lit up the
living room, and the family’s two children
quickly gravitated toward their new friends,
filling the space with warmth and joy and
reminding all why these visits matter so
much. As a parting gift and loving gesture,
a basket full of pan dulce was gifted
to the team. 💕
