Ending the Pandemic with UNICEF

Bridget Maxim, Manager of Philanthropic Partnerships at UNICEF will be joining us to speak about how ending the pandemic with UNICEF.

UNICEF, as the largest single vaccine buyer in the world, and the organization that has vaccinated 45% of the world’s children, has been chosen to activate our robust infrastructure to procure and distribute over 2 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines equitably around the globe through the COVAX facility. COVAX is ensuring that 92 low and middle-income countries have equitable access to COVID vaccines regardless of the ability to pay for them. This is the largest humanitarian response any organization has ever undertaken, and UNICEF is working around the clock as vaccines touch down in more countries each day. We are calling on partners to join us in putting an end to the pandemic, for all.

Bridget Maxim has a background in education, business and fundraising. Her career began as a middle school science teacher, an experience that shaped her deep rooted passion for children’s rights. She then worked at the National Geographic Society and the USC Viterbi School of Engineering to raise critical funds that progressed science and enhanced our understanding of the world.
