President's Message
Hello Rotarians, Friends of Rotary and readers who are curious about Rotary,
I am honored to write to you as President of our wonderful Playa Venice Sunrise Rotary Club!
"Service Above Self" - that three word motto perfectly captures what this service organization represents. In essence, if your life has been so blessed, so enriched and so fruitful in abundance that your soul stirs to give back to those less fortunate, then you dearest reader are a "Rotarian at heart"!
Our Playa Venice Sunrise Rotary Club is part of a larger global organization network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders and problem-solvers. In short: We are people of action! So much that we won the "Club of Impact" 2024-2025 and again 'back to back" years in 2025 - 2026 in our Rotary District 5280. This year we were also honored by Rotary International as a Club of Excellence for 2026.
Internationally and Nationally with over 35,000 Rotary clubs, we partner with our international clubs to promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, sanitation and hygiene. We also make an impact within our local communities to support our first responders, mothers and children, support education and protect the environment. All the while, we have fun while getting it done!
