The following is an email from Tore Knos in the Sudan. He wanted to keep us posted on his activities.
This morning we left Juba for Agot on a twin engine prop plane. Trip
uneventful but we landed in Wei first, had to deplane and wait in a
shady tree and board a single engine 10 passenger plane for Agot. It is
hot as hades here at 40 degree celius. I am in a tent with a fan.
Tomorrow we will go up to Abeyei where the fighting has been. We will
be supplying tents for returning refugees. The North Sudanese do not
want the territory repopulated so they can take it over. The world
court at the Hague says it belongs to South Sudan. We will be here for
5 days and return to Juba on the 20th.
Everthing going well.
Please let the Rotarians know what is happening.
