Each week President Jim will share his thoughts about that week's meeting with Tony Ciancimino who will pass them on to members and friends.

Dear fellow Rotarians and friends,

While it seemed like open mic night at The Comedy Club, this week we actually had craft talks. Dan Kolodziejski kicked off the session to tell us about himself and his company Clement Partners. Dan is a native of the PDR/Westchester. Clement has a wide variety and real estate involvements. Dan brought along associate Nate Richards to talk about the syndicate involvements he works on with Dan's son (and fellow Rotarian) Kip. It obvious that Dan is not only one of the good guys who "gets it," but we are also thrilled to know how happy he is to be a Rotarian. Dan makes the Club better with his presence. Next up and scoring high on the "laugh meter" was Judith Ciancimino. This lover of "old time rock n roll," when not volunteering at Rotary, serves as an officer at the Elks Lodge, has served on the Neighborhood Council, organized massive town hall meetings, served on the Police Booster and Boat Parade Boards and that's not a complete list. Currently enjoying her second run at the LAX Coastal Area Chamber of Commerce with Christina Davis, Judith has also worked for SECO and Cantalini's. She's been from Woodstock to the Florida Keys andImage DC since leaving hometown of Detroit. In California she met her husband on a blind date and is currently serving the 27th year of a life sentence in her marriage to the author. Another great Rotarian, even if I am prejudiced.

Gwen Vuchsas gave a brief review of the Cultural Dinner (dancing girls) and its many (dancing girls) successes. She thanked all (dancing girls) who made it a success. The final numbers are not yet in (dancing girls) but it looks like we'll net between our goal of $15,000 and $18,000, Big time congratulations to all.

Gwen also called for volunteers for the Halloween Town Fair this coming Sat. To date the first shift from 10:30 to 12:30 is covered but she still needs one more person for each of the two shifts that follow. Please contact Gwen to help out. Our Interacters will be on hand also.

ImageJudith Ciancimino acknowledged Roger Wilson's Oct. birthday on behalf of the Club. HB Roger, it was great seeing you at the Cultural Dinner.

We were blessed with two members of the Animo HS Interact Club as guests. President Jim gave them Playa Venice pins as a thank you for joining us. Also on hand was Peter Smyth who brought Don Mantarro to visit with us.

It was Bear Essential week with a special auction prize. Mr. Let's Make a Deal" Vuchsas drove the price up to $80. which I think Dan won, but at last sight heImage was doing a back room deal with Don Mantarro. Either way the Polio Plus fund went up by $80. Our thanks go to whoever was the winner.

No winner this week on the 50/50 drawing so the pot goes up to $1075.

If you noticed some unusual formatting in this week's bulletin it is because our host ClubRunner hates me, or it just not being cooperative. Sorry.

Thanks to Judith Ciancimino and Don Culton for this week's photos.
