RI President Visits the District

Clubs are asked to "go dark" the week of January 13, 2011 in respect and support of RI President Ray Klinginsmith's visit and presentation to our District along with our District 5260 friends. Here's some details about the luncheon: |

The RI Presidential Luncheon will take place January 13, 2011 at the Manhattan Beach Marriott (1400 Parkview Ave, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266). Reservations are on a "first come" basis and should be made as quickly as possible. This is a multi-District event with about 450 seats available between the 2 Districts. There is no question, it will be a sellout event. Here's what you'll hear and do while there: Your club can have their picture taken with President Ray! We'll honor our Ambassadorial Scholars, Exchange Students, Rotaract and Interact Clubs! There will be door prizes! We'll bring back the District 5280 Club Roll Call! Most of all, you'll hear an inspirational message all about "Cowboy Logic" from President Ray! We'll also have a reception for our Paul Harris Society members and Major Donors, just prior to the event. A separate announcement will be sent to those members. The cuisine for the day comes right from the menu of one of President Ray's favorite diners located in his Missouri city! Club pictures will begin at 11:00am with the program starting at noon. Tickets are $50.00 each. This is a chance for your club to see the largess of Rotary, the depth of individuals who are members in this community, grab some Rotary pride and enthusiasm, a good dosage of fun and also to learn, in a very down to earth style, where we are and where we are headed.
