Playa Venice Awards Annual Scholarships

It looks like not only did we find the best and the brightest for our annual scholarship awards, we also found the nicest. There were four finalists for our two annual scholarships worth $1200 each. This was a true challenge to judges Katie Butler, Tom Ryan, Gail Goldstein, Rob Bird and Armando Diaz. Gail and Rob found the way to make four go into two by each funding an additional scholarship, Gail’s in her parent’s name and Rob on behalf of Budget Rental Cars. Their ongoing generosity allowed each of these young superstars to continue their quest for excellence. The students have demonstrated a passion for serving others. I think Gail slipped them Playa Venice Rotary membership information before they left.
