2015 Teacher Mini Grants

Gwen Vuchsas chairs another very successful awarding of Teacher Mini Grants. In the early 1990’s Gwen Vuchsas identified that Alhambra Rotary's Teacher Mini Grant program as a great idea. She established it with the Westchester Rotary Club and brought it with her when she joined Playa Venice. Now in its 18th year, Teacher Mini Grants continues to make a major impact on our local education community. In its first year, Gwen considered $1800, a fantastic give away! On 1/14/15 we distributed almost $18,000 to 22 schools in the form of 71 school grants. From all your fellow Rotarians, thank you, Gwen for all you do!
