Service Projects: Community

LOS ANGELES FIRE DEPARTMENT PANCAKE BREAKFAST
13 years and counting, the club organizes Pancake Breakfast at local fire stations for the community. It is a community event where the neighbors get to know their firefighters while raising funds for their local fire department. This past year, Playa Venice have raised just shy of $10,000 for two fire stations.  

MIDNIGHT MISSION
Throughout the year, members head over to the Midnight Mission in Skid Row to donate their time and feed the homeless as the club is committed in lending a hand to Los Angeles homeless epidemic. In addition, the club donates much needed everyday supplies such as water, toiletries, clothing and shoes. 


BUILD-A-BEAR
Playa Venice members build customize stuffed animals and deliver to children fighting various diseases at Los Angeles Children’s Hospital.

ADOPT-A-FAMILY
During the holiday season, Playa Venice adopts 6 needy local families to bring holiday celebrations to their homes. This is a decade old tradition and Playa Venice have dedicated near $30,000 of foundation funds to support the program over the years.  

JET TO JETTY
Playa Venice is a sponsor and supporter of Airport Marina Counseling Service’s (“AMCS”) annual 5k/10k event. Club donation helps AMCS to provide affordable mental health services to those in need.


ST. JUDE HOSPITAL
Going into its 4th year, Playa Venice has donated  just shy of $3,000 to support St. Jude Hospital’s mission: “No child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.”
