Brianne Gilbert is the associate director for the Thomas and Dorothy Leavey Center for the Study of Los Angeles (StudyLA) at Loyola Marymount University. She also is a senior lecturer at LMU in the departments of political science and urban and environmental studies, teaching courses on political internships, GIS, and geospatial research. At StudyLA, Brianne leads numerous studies involving public opinion research, voter polls, and leaders/elite surveys. She received her BA from Wittenberg University and her MA from Florida International University with degrees in sociology and emphasis on statistics and geospatial techniques. Giving back to her church, academia, and community is paramount. Brianne serves as a Sunday School teacher, Treasurer for Women in GIS, and VP of Communications for her son’s elementary school PTO.
