Meet Kristen
Where are you from originally? If not from LA, how did you end up here?
I am native Californian who grew up in beautiful Monterey Bay. I attended Long Beach State University for half of my undergraduate studies, but finished them at San Jose State University. After meeting and marrying my life partner, Glenn, we moved to sunny Southern California where we had more opportunities to build our graphic design business.
Tell us about your occupation.
I am the Co-Founder and CEO of Glenn's Designs, a boutique graphic design firm that specializes in customized presentation decks for speakers and startups to engage their audiences through storytelling. I am the Managing Partner of TSGL Properties, a real estate investment company. I am also working on becoming a voiceover artist.
Why did you join Rotary and what is your favorite Rotary experience?
Glenn and I were looking for opportunities to give back to the community through volunteering. We were introduced to Rotary through a client, who was a Rotarian. Our club has so many projects, so it's difficult to select just one! One of my favorite Rotary experiences is our Build-A-Bear project, where we build stuffed animals for children in the CARES program at USC County Hospital. While we don't meet the children receiving the stuffed animals, it warms my heart knowing that the bears will provide them comfort.
What does your perfect weekend look like?
Eating out at new restaurants or visiting unique fun places with Glenn, walking to the beach to watch the sunset and socializing with friends.
