* LAST WEEK *
We welcomed Amy Zimmerman from Redondo Beach Rotary to share with us
about the “Jerusalem Women
Driving Health Together” initiative.
Amy is seeking Clubs to join her in funding this Global Grant which proposes to educate 30 Women in East Jerusalem.
The goal is to train 15 Israeli women and 15 Palestinian women, all of whom would be cross trained in both Hebrew and Arabic helping them serve those in need.
Amy stressed that there is a critical shortage in medical personnel and the proposed training would fill a huge gap in care with a focus on training Ambulance Drivers, Phlebotomists and Medics.

to our attention.

Lisa and Martha presented Justin with a check and and custom basketball covered notebook with well deserved congratulations for his 1st ever BTG awards banquet held at Cantalini's Salerno Beach Restaurant this past month where he honored the many talented kids in his program.

AMCS SPRING INTO WELLNESS!
We were proud to support the annual
“Spring into Wellness” fundraiser which benefits the very important work of Airport Marina Counseling Service.
This year’s well-deserved honorees were Sylvia Wilson, Janie Guthrie Skjervem and Mark Skjervem. It was a beautiful and successful evening in every way!

New Member Induction
This week we are thrilled to induct our newest member Natalie Shoemaker!
Natalie lives in Playa Vista with her husband and twin boys who are 7th graders at Visitation School. Natalie grew up in
Rancho Cucamonga and attended college
at Cal State Northridge. Their family has already taken part in one of our Rotary events as her boys were elves this past holiday season on our Santa Tour.
Natalie has a long history of volunteerism in the Playa Vista community and shared how much she loves what we do in the club and
is looking forward to joining Playa Venice Sunrise and having more opportunities to give back to the community.
Please plan to attend to give Natalie a big Playa Venice Sunrise Rotary
