Well, Playa Venice Rotarians,
PLEASE take a bow!
We had an amazing Fundraiser this past Wednesday and I can confidently report that the raves keep pouring in! Thanks to our generous Sponsors, our outrageously delicious Beer for our Biergarten, Authentic German Cuisine (also delicious), the incredible Polka Band, outstanding Silent and Live Auction prizes, an amazing Wine Lot (won by our Assistant District Governor, Nancy Weisel from Redondo Beach Rotary), fabulous Raffle Gifts, and Superstar Volunteers!!
We had SO MUCH FUN!
Unser Oktoberfest war wunderbar
Vielen Dank an alle!
Our Oktoberfest was truly wonderful, and I thank you all for your time, talent and treasure! There are so many people to thank, but for now, I will say that besides the hard working members of our committee, our TEAM consisted of every member of our club and together, we hit it out of the park! This was our 17th cultural dinner and I'm proud to say that this popular annual fundraiser continues to wow our community. Great, Great job ALL!!
Our club is amazing and as Councilwoman Traci Park said during her presentation to our award recipient, Lory Sarlo, “Everywhere I look, I see this group of people doing good in the community.”
That sums it up quite beautifully…and thanks to a highly successful fundraiser, we can now confidently fund our programs for the rest of the year!
** Highlights from Last Week **
Fun & Service IS here!
We welcomed the Principal of Venice High School, Yavonka Hairston-Truitt (who goes by the nickname HT), and CEO Donna Lasman, President Sunny Bak and Chair of the Education Foundation, Chantel Hunter Mah from the Venice Chamber of Commerce, to share about the Venice High School Jackets of Excellence Program and receive our sponsorship check for 2024.
We are so proud to support this important program that celebrates the academic excellence of these
incredible high school seniors!
This year's award reception is on December 5th in the Venice High School Auditorium.
