Greetings
Rotarians & Friends!

Last week we heard from Co-President, Brady Connell and our International Service Director, Richard Shelton about the progress of our two global grant projects. We are so excited to hear that we have met the minimum goal for the Uganda ultrasound project and will be submitting the
application very soon.

Regarding the Jacaranda School Project in Malawi, we are finalizing our partner clubs, and hope to meet our minimum fundraising goals very soon.

Thank you to all who have pledged your support, especially those who have contributed toward the personal matching donation made by our Club Treasurer, Lucy Wegner in honor of her late husband. We are still looking for donations towards Lucy’s generous donation. If you would like to participate, please go to our website and click on the donate button – mark your donation “matching funds for Uganda GG”.

We had a LOT OF FUN at Fatburger this past Sunday. Past President Hilton gobbled down a triple cheeseburger along with fries and a shake to defend his “XXX Challenge” title – I’m sure he was glad he wore
his stretchy pants!

In addition to wonderful fellowship, we assembled gifts for our protectors to hand out during this week’s
“Protectors Appreciation Week”

in partnership with the LAX Coastal Chamber.
We are proud to support our protectors and will be serving lunch at both the Sheriff’s Station in Marina Del Rey on Wednesday and the Los Angeles County Fire Station on Thursday. Thank you to all who have volunteered to help!

President Elect, Martha Jeffers, attended PETS (President Elect Training Seminar) this past weekend featuring a few training sessions with District Governor Nominee and Club Co-president Brady Connell…
we look forward to hearing about her plans for the next fiscal year!

We will gather for our quarterly Foundation Board meeting tonight at President Gail’s home.
It is an open meeting but please contact her if you are interested in attending.

JOIN US THIS WEEK FOR OUR FUN
AND FABULOUS FELLOWSHIP MEETING!
One of my very favorite things to do is announce our Rotarian of the Month and celebrate our member’s birthdays!
We will also hear a mini craft talk by our Vocational Service Director,
Jason Wong as we “meet the board.”

Ray Morales will share more about the cooking classes being scheduled for the new service project created by the Venice High School Interact Club.

Please make every effort to come in person to celebrate our incredible fellowship.
