Rotarians & Friends!
We had a wonderful Meeting last week – thank you to all who joined us!
We heard from our Venice High School Interact Member, Samantha,
who shared the progress of her Service Project which focuses on teaching students entering college how to prepare healthy meals for themselves.
Our Club has been a big supporter and we were happy to give an additional donation so she could purchase the next round of groceries and supplies for her upcoming classes. Samantha has shown great leadership and vision, and we are
very proud to support her.

We heard from Mary-Catherine from the LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce,
who spoke about the many projects and events the Chamber hosts
throughout the year.
We were honored to present our
sponsorship check for the upcoming
Teacher Eddy Awards on May 14th –
This is a wonderful evening that focuses on recognizing our educators.

We had the distinct pleasure of inducting our newest member,
Sashary Zaroyan,
who is the Associate Dean of
Strategic Engagement and Initiatives at
Loyola Marymount University’s School of Education. We are so excited to welcome such a warm and dynamic new member and look forward to greater opportunities
to partner with LMU.

Scholarship Season is here,
and we are looking forward to inviting our winners to the upcoming
Gala on May 7th.
The scholarship team will meet on Monday
to review all the applications and
make their selections.
I feel so moved and inspired by these students and I know they will make
a remarkable impact in their communities.
How wonderful to be a part of their journey towards what we are confident
will be a bright future!

Cantalini’s was very busy this past week starting with a farewell dinner for our dear Kelli as she prepares for her big move to North Carolina. What a wonderful evening filled with lots of hugs, memories, a few tears and so much love! We wish her the absolute best in her new adventure. Arrivederci my friend! ❤️

The Westchester Mental Health Guild had a Wonderful Wine Dinner Fundraiser at Cantalini's Salerno Beach Restaurant featuring several interesting wines from
the Pacific Coast. Thank you to all
who came out to support the Guild,
whose proceeds go to support Airport Marina Counceling Service (AMCS)!

The LAX Coastal Chamber held their Annual Chairman’s Reception
at the LAX Marriott where several awards of recognition were given to various members for outstanding service.
Our own Co-President, Lisa Schwab,
received the Pierre Basbous
Honorary Mayor’s Award.
Thank you to Luann Casillas for the honor and congratulations to Co-President Lisa!!
Shout out to Councilperson Traci Park and her team who also attended and were recognized for their incredible work and effort in Council District 11
with the Public Service Award.

Chamber in welcoming the new Chair, Stephanie Sampson, and her Board
