Dear Playa Venice Rotarians & Friends,
This past week was only the second week since July 1 that we didn’t have an official club event... I hope you enjoyed your week off!
TOMORROW, Playa Venice sweat jackets are for sale. They have a a Playa Venice insignia on the front. Bring $30!
We also have a speaker from the Ballona Renaissance organization who is going to tell us all about the revitalization efforts with Ballona Creek, which is the major Los Angeles watershed right here in our own backyard. Come find out why Ballona Creek has been selected for The Interceptor – the highest tech trash remover that exists. Important stuff for the health of our bay and our beaches!
Happy hour is THIS Thursday at Yard House in the Marina. ‘Nuf said! 5:30-8. Bring friends and special guests who may be interested in Rotary!

Congratulations to Peter Smyth for winning the biggest raffle pot the club has had in a long time – over $3,000! Half goes to the club, so thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets over the last several months. Back to 52 cards tomorrow...
