Dear Rotarians and Friends,
As I was finishing this Newsletter, something happened and the formatting became very messy and I couldn't fix it. My apologies to some of you that will see it, depending on the platform you use to open it!
Initially,I got upset, especially that I did not have time to fix it! Little by little, I embraced and even celebrate my imperfections. My flaws are part of who I am, I am grateful for them because they help shape me into the person I am today.
I encourage each one to accept to be less perfect, more authentic and have empathy on others' imperfections!
Joe

We are on Roll! This Wednesday we are inducting the fourth new member in three weeks. Let's be many to welcome Daryn Fillis.

Also this week, the speaker is our own Mary Catherine Micka who is doing her craft talk. These are precious moments to discover what made a Rotarian the person they are now!

BELIZE HUMANITARIAN TRIP
Four members - Helena Goto, Gail Brooks, Claire Date and Lucy Wegner - are now in Belize with Rotarians from all of our district, joining hands to do service projects and fellowship. Here are some pictures they sent but we will have a full update upon their return.
Lucy wrote: "Our Club has a terrific reputation with other clubs. Lots of respect for our success"
MARCH HIKE
Few daring Rotarians - Vida, Ramona and her niece, Tracey, Michelle and her husband - braved a windy morning to hike in Pacific Palisades.
For the rest of us, hang in tight because the May Hike will be a family friendly outing in Kenneth Hahn Park with a picnic to follow!
SCHOLARSHIP KICKOFF
Last weekend, 11 members met at Cantalini's to kickoff the scholarship program. Gail Goldstein, the event chair, explained the details of this big project and distributed tasks to everyone. Volunteer opportunities are still open. Contact Gail or reply to this email.
Clubrunner workshop
Joerg Rose led a very professional workshop to teach how to navigate ClubRunner, our club's Website platform and mobile app.
During the coming months, we hope to bring bits and pieces of this training to all members during the meetings or by other means.
One thing I learned during this workshop is how to add all the club's events to my calendar! If you wish, you can also do it by copying this link and adding it to your Google or Apple calendar. https://playavenice.org/calendar-feed
