Greetings Rotarians and Friends!
January has sure proven itself to be a whirlwind. So much to be thankful for and yet, so much sorrow and loss.
I am proud of the efforts of our Club as well as so many others who have shown such heartfelt compassion and support to those who have been affected by the wildfires, including our brave firefighters and first responders! This is going to be a long road to recovery and there will be many opportunities to volunteer in the coming months.
Thank you to Co-President Brady Connell for his leadership and vision to create the “Safer Sifting Project” in partnership with the Santa Monica Rotary and our District. This promises to provide a very important service for those who have lost their homes and wish to search their property for any personal items that may have survived the flames.
We look forward to hearing more about how we can participate in this project and more!

Lunar New Year
This Wednesday, January 29th, Begins a 15 day festival celebrating the Lunar New Year and marks the

The year of the snake serves as a call for thoughtful action and strategic change
as 2025 marks a year when individuals and communities can let go of old patterns and embrace innovation.
Seems about right…Foundation Chair,
Gail Goldstein will give a short presentation of this year’s celebration and the gifts of the snake. ~
