Greetings
Rotarians & Friends!
I do hope all our Mom’s had a
wonderful Mother’s Day!
Last week, instead of our regular breakfast meeting, we gathered at Visitation School for our 2nd Annual Scholarship Gala. This was an incredible event in every way, starting with a walk down the Red Carpet, a gorgeous
Step-and-Repeat photo opportunity, wonderful music from Kiev Morales,
Food, Drinks, stunning décor and a
room full of amazing Rotarians!
We kicked off the program with a
President’s Welcome and Pledge followed by an absolutely beautiful invocation by Father Jim. Foundation President Gail did a
terrific job as the evenings MC. We thank our keynote speakers, Sashary Zaroyan from LMU and Lorena Alvarado, from the Mar Vista Family Center, who spoke about their journeys and how Rotary influenced
their success.
We are also grateful to Rotarian Jan for her sponsorship of the Swag Bags and Raffle gifts. We are grateful to Trey from Traci Park’s office who was on hand to give each Scholarship Winner a personalized Proclamation from the City of Los Angeles!
We are so grateful for all the volunteers who worked so hard to ensure that our
Graduates felt the love!
We handed out twenty-two $1000 Scholarships to an outstanding group of inspiring young Students.
WELL DONE PLAYA VENICE SUNRISE SCHOLARSHIP GALA TEAM!

Mar Vista Family Center’s
Annual Luncheon
Earlier that day, we attended the Mar Vista Family Center’s Annual Luncheon at the Skirball Center. What a beautiful event this is – We are so proud to support Rotarian Lucia Davis and her staff for the incredible work they do in our community.

🥞 Fire Station 63 🥞Pancake Breakfast
This past Saturday, we gathered at Fire Station 63 in Venice for our 19th Annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser! We had bouncy houses, balloon animals by Candy the Clown, Yuri the Face Painter and the Firefighters worked so hard cooking and entertaining the children with tours of the
fire trucks and the use of fire hoses
and other equipment.
They also had a highly successful Silent Auction and a wonderful DJ. We served approximately 650 people and we could not have asked for more beautiful weather.
Our fundraising dollars are so important to the firefighters which recently resulted in the purchase of a Sauna which was installed in the firehouse Gym.
We understand that Saunas are a much-needed tool to help detoxify from dangerous chemicals and smoke and or Club is so proud to partner with these local heroes!
Traci Park was on hand to help us with the official dedication and our dear friends at Venice Paparazzi where there to capture the many incredible moments of the day!
Thank you to all the volunteers who made this all possible!

🏀BTG AWARD DINNER 🏀 Last night was the BTG
Fundraiser and awards banquet at
Cantalini’s Salerno Beach Restaurant for Coach Justin’s players.
What a delightful event – it is absolutely clear how much of an impact Justin, Addy and all their other coaches are having on these students and their families.
It was a FULL HOUSE and there was so much love and appreciation in the room! Shout out to Rotarians Gwen, Steph, Rob, Gail and Matthew for your help and support!
Great Job Coach Justin!!
